Pearl in the Sand

There’s a beauty beyond compare
Within this world, you’ll find it there,
Past all description.
It is not fiction!
Life and Truth, we have to share.

Like a pearl of great price in the sand
Is the Good News within this dry land.
The lost ones must find
This Jewel of rare kind
That holds all completeness in hand.

A joy to behold at first sight;
You’ve striven to find this all your life,
Where true fullness comes.
You don’t just take some,
But all you’ve discovered is right.

Jesus said that if you will seek
And search for Him, though you are weak,
He will reveal
Himself, ‘cause He’s real;
To rich and poor, the bold and the meek.

So go out and search for that Gem!
Seek hard, because it’s hidden.
And ask God to show
The right way to go.
This Treasure is freely given.

"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking fine pearls, and upon finding one pearl of great value, he went and sold all that he had and bought it." (Mat 13:45-46 NASB)

Author's note The poems in this blog were written by my children, ages seven through fourteen. The "Why This Blog" post explains how the Lord inspired these poems in answer to a prayer during illness. Also see the testimony called, "Like a Man Finding a Pearl of Great Price."  I also recommend visiting my children's blog, A Brush with Life, where you will also find beautiful art they have drawn for the glory of God. You can access my complete blog directory at "Writing for the Master."  The "Pearl of Great Price" fine art © 2013 is by Dee Lessard. All rights reserved by the artist. Now I'd like to ask a very important question.

Do You Want to Know Him?
If you want to know Jesus personally, you can. It all begins when you repent and believe in Jesus.  Do you know what God's Word, the Bible says?

“Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God, and saying, ‘The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.’” (Mar 1:14b-15).  He preached that we must repent and believe.

Please see my explanation of this in my post called "Do You Want to Know Jesus?"
