Still the Same

Over all the centuries

Kingdoms rise and fall

But for eternity

You’re still the God of all

Yesterday and today

Your love is still the same

Your mercies never change

A glory that remains

Before the earth’s foundation

Before it all began

What a revelation

That you’re still the Great I AM

When my daughter brought this completed poem to me, I could see that it was very good.  I only suggested she add the word "Great" to the final line of the poem.  I hope you were blessed as I was by what the Lord gave her.  Here is the Scriptural basis for this poem:

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." (Heb 13:8, NASB)

"For I, the LORD, do not change; therefore you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed." (Mal 3:6, NASB)

“In the beginning, O Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. You will roll them up like a robe; like a garment they will be changed. But you remain the same, and your years will never end." Hebrews 1:10-12 (NIV, 1984)

Then Moses said to God, "Behold, I am going to the sons of Israel, and I will say to them, 'The God of your fathers has sent me to you.' Now they may say to me, 'What is His name?' What shall I say to them?" God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM"; and He said, "Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, 'I AM has sent me to you.'" Do You Want to Know Him?
If you want to know Jesus personally, you can. It all begins when you repent and believe in Jesus.  Do you know what God's Word, the Bible says?

“Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God, and saying, ‘The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.’” (Mar 1:14b-15).  He preached that we must repent and believe.
